In Loving Memory: Our Community's Sad Loss

Updated: Feb 4

In the wake of the heartbreaking loss of our beloved sister Serap Akbaş, a compassionate soul from Southern California, who courageously battled a persistent illness, we extend our deepest condolences. On the night of February 1, despite all medical efforts, she peacefully embarked on her eternal journey.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Murat Akbaş, and their precious sons Selman and Esat, as well as all those who held her dear.

She is a cherished member of our community whose warmth and grace touched many lives. From her university days to her enduring connections in America and the pioneering families she embraced in Mongolia, her presence left an indelible mark on all who knew her. As we gather to remember her, we are moved by the heartfelt testimonials of classmates, the enduring bonds she cultivated, and the prayers from across the globe. May Allah grant her a place in the gardens of paradise, nestled beside our beloved Prophet PBUH, where her spirit will forever radiate love and light.
